Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon cracked ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole allspice
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups unsweetened grapefruit juice
  • 1 1/2 cups apricot nectar
  • orange slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, cracked ginger, whole cloves, and whole allspice in a pot.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer until flavors meld, about 15 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove spices.
  4. Add lemon juice, pineapple juice, grapefruit, and apricot nectar to the strained liquid.
  5. Serve hot or cold, garnished with orange slices if desired.
