Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, cream of tartar, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
  2. Pour in boiling water and bring to a boil.
  3. Cook until the mixture reaches soft ball stage.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add vanilla and pecans to the mixture.
  6. Stir until the pecans are coated and the mixture becomes sticky.
  7. Turn out onto waxed paper and separate the pecans.
