Ingredients

  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 4 c. pecans (halves)

Instructions

  1. Combine the white sugar, ground cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice in a deep Dutch oven or large pan.
  2. Cook the mixture until soft and boiling at 232°F (approximately 5-7 minutes).
  3. Add the pecans and stir until they are coated evenly with the spice mixture.
  4. Spread the coated pecans on a baking sheet or surface and separate them with a fork.
  5. Allow to cool completely before storing in a tin box.
