Spinach Appetizer

A creamy, savory spinach dip with green onions and water chestnuts, perfect for parties and gatherings served in a bread bowl for easy dipping and sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Knorr or Mrs. Grass vegetable soup mix (dry)
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 2 to 4 green onions, chopped fine
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 pkg. frozen spinach, chopped, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and let stand several hours or overnight.
  2. Right before serving, spoon into a sourdough round loaf of bread that has been cut out from the center.
  3. Cube the bread removed from the center of the loaf and use it to dip into the spinach mixture.
