Ingredients

  • 1 medium squirrel
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup grease
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Put the squirrel in a pot of hot water and bring to a boil.
  2. Boil for about 1 1/2 hours or until a fork goes through easily to tenderize the meat.
  3. Mix the flour and grease in a bowl to form a dough.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until it is not sticky.
  5. Pinch off small pieces of dough to form dumplings.
  6. Add the dumplings to the pot with the squirrel.
  7. Sprinkle salt and pepper into the pot.
  8. Stir often and cook until the dumplings are done.
