Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 6 Tbsp. cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in shortening (do not use hands) until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Sprinkle water evenly over the surface.
  4. Stir with a fork until all dry particles are moistened.
  5. Shape into a ball; divide into 2 parts.
  6. Roll each part into a 12-inch circle.
  7. Fit into a 9-inch pie plate and crimp edges.
