Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 Tbsp. melted butter

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, then measure and add baking powder and salt.
  2. Separate the egg yolks and whites; beat the whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a bowl, combine egg yolks, milk, and melted butter.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg yolk mixture, beating until smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
  6. Pour batter into a preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
