- Place the round steak in an ungreased, unheated iron skillet.
- Slice the lemon and place the slices on top of the steak.
- Cut the onion into thin slices and the green pepper into thin rings.
- Arrange the onion slices and pepper rings on top of the steak and lemon.
- Cover all with ketchup.
- Use 2 tablespoons of water to rinse the ketchup bottle and add to the skillet.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid.
- Cook in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until the steak is fork-tender.
