Ingredients

  • pastry for 9-inch pie
  • 5 1/2 cups cubed steak (1/2-inch pieces)
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion juice

Instructions

  1. Mix the cubed steak, flour, salt, black pepper, and onion juice together.
  2. Place the mixture into a prepared 9-inch pie shell.
  3. Cover with top crust.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
  5. Reduce temperature to 300°F and bake for an additional 90 minutes.
  6. If needed, lower temperature to 275°F to prevent over-browning.
