Ingredients

  • 2 (2 1/2 lb.) London broil boneless chuck steak
  • 1 cup green olives
  • 1/2 cup olive juice
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • oregano to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Transfer the browned meat to a deep baking pan.
  3. Add green olives with their juice to the pan.
  4. Arrange chopped onion around the meat, then add chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  5. Pour crushed tomatoes over the meat and vegetables.
  6. Drizzle olive oil on top of everything.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 300° to 325°F for about 1 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
