Steak Supper(In Foil)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. chuck steak (1-inch thick)
  • 1 envelope onion soup
  • 4 medium carrots, cut in sticks
  • 4 stalks celery, cut in sticks
  • 2 or 3 medium potatoes, quartered
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450°.
  2. Tear off a 2 1/2-foot length of 18-inch wide foil.
  3. Place meat in center; sprinkle with soup mix.
  4. Cover with vegetables.
  5. Dot with butter; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Fold foil over and seal to keep juices in.
  6. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until meat is tender.
  7. Yields 4 servings.
