Ingredients

  • 12 to 14 medium mushrooms
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup beer or wine

Instructions

  1. Slice mushrooms lengthwise, leaving button or small ones whole.
  2. Slice onion into rings.
  3. In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add garlic powder, seasoned salt, and pepper, then stir.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms, onion rings, and beer or wine.
  6. Cover and simmer until the juice is fairly thick.
  7. Pour the topping over sirloin or other steak.
