Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. White Cake Mix (Do not follow cake directions on box.) ⓘ
  • 1 pkg. Strawberry jello ⓘ
  • 3 T. flour ⓘ
  • 3/4 C. salad oil ⓘ
  • 1/2 C. water ⓘ
  • 4 eggs ⓘ
  • 2/3 box (10 oz. or more) frozen strawberries thawed and drained (Reserve remaining 1/3 of berries and some liquid for icing.)

Instructions

  1. Mix together cake mix, jello, and flour. Add water and oil. Add eggs one at a time and beat. Add berries next and mix. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 min. Take a toothpick test.
  2. For frosting:
  3. Using reserved juice from berries, butter or margarine, and powdered sugar. Beat until combined.
  4. You may just use whipping cream with a little powdered sugar to taste.
