Ingredients

  • 1 (2 layer size) package cake mix or pudding included mix
  • 2 (4 serving size) packages Jell-O brand instant pudding and pie filling
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix as directed on the package and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Remove the cake from the oven and poke holes throughout with the round handle of a wooden spoon at 1-inch intervals.
  3. Combine pudding mix with confectioners sugar in a large bowl.
  4. Gradually stir in milk, then beat at low speed for no more than 1 minute.
  5. Pour about half of the thin pudding evenly over the warm cake and into the holes to make the strips.
  6. Allow the remaining pudding to thicken slightly, then spoon it over the top of the cake, swirling to frost.
  7. Chill the cake for at least one hour before serving.
  8. Store in the refrigerator.
