Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. cottage ham
  • fresh string beans or 2 cans cut string beans
  • 2 medium onions, chopped fine
  • 4 large potatoes, cut in wedges
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. Cut up cottage ham into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Wash cottage ham thoroughly to remove any brine.
  3. Place the ham in a crock-pot.
  4. Add 4 to 5 cups of water.
  5. Add string beans, onions, potatoes, pepper, and marjoram.
  6. Cook on high for 4 hours.
  7. Cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
