String Hoppers Biryani

Ingredients

  • 25 g cooked string hoppers
  • 500 g beef or 500 g mutton
  • 250 g carrots
  • 200 g spring onions
  • 200 g tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 2 aubergines
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 3 -5 curry leaves
  • 3 -4 cardamom seeds
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 5 tablespoons oil
  • 2 maggi chicken stock cubes
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into 2 cm cubes.
  2. Add salt, chilli powder, corriander powder and turmeric powder.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Chop the onions and tomatoes.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add the onions, ginger-garlic paste, curry leaves and cardamom seeds.
  7. Fry for 2 minutes.
  8. Add the meat, cook well and then remove from heat.
  9. Cut the aubergines into cubes.
  10. Add salt and a pinch of turmeric powder.
  11. Fry until golden brown.
  12. Cut the spring onions and grate the carrots.
  13. Heat oil in a pan.
  14. Add the grated carrots and chicken cubes.
  15. Cook for a while.
  16. Add the fried aubergines.
  17. Allow it to cook for some more time.
  18. Remove from heat.
  19. Tear the string hoppers and put the meat.
  20. Add all the cooked ingredients.
  21. Mix well.
  22. Garnish with spring onions.
  23. Serve.
