Juicy stuffed turkey legs with garlic and peppers, wrapped in bacon for a smoky flavor, baked to perfection—ideal for hearty family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 large turkey legs
  • 4 slices Canadian bacon
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/3 cup red wine
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 head garlic
  • 4 cayenne peppers

Instructions

  1. In an 8 x 12-inch deep pan, combine wine, oil, water, and paprika.
  2. Using a bone saw, cut off 2 to 3 inches of bone from each turkey leg.
  3. Stuff the legs with garlic and cayenne peppers.
  4. Season the stuffed legs and wrap each with a slice of Canadian bacon.
  5. Place the wrapped legs in the pan and cover tightly with foil.
  6. Bake for 2 hours at 350°F (175°C).
  7. Uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Serve the stuffed turkey legs with dressing, snap bean casserole, hot brandy peaches, and French bread.
