- Wash the tomato and remove the center.
- Sprinkle the hollow of the tomato with a bit of salt and pepper.
- Mix the cooked rice with the tomato flesh and ground beef or chicken.
- Refill the center of the tomato with the rice and meat mixture.
- Place a teaspoon of butter on top of the filled tomato and set it in a lightly buttered pan.
- Bake in a 350°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
