Korean Mon-Du is a savory steamed dumpling filled with seasoned beef, vegetables, and bean cake, offering a delightful combination of flavors perfect for sharing or as a quick snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 package bean sprouts
  • 1 package spinach
  • 3 bunches green onions
  • 1 package bean cake
  • sesame oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil spinach and bean sprouts until tender.
  2. Dice green onions.
  3. Chop beef thinly.
  4. Combine cooked vegetables, bean cake, and beef in a bowl.
  5. Finely chop the mixture together.
  6. Add sesame oil until the mixture can be formed into a ball.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
  8. Place a small mound of the filling on a Mon-Du or egg roll square and shape into a rectangle.
  9. Seal the edges tightly with water.
  10. Steam until the dough is tender.
  11. Serve with soy sauce and vinegar for dipping.
