Sue'S Beans
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef ⓘ
- 1/2 pound sliced bacon, diced ⓘ
- 1 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 (16 ounce) can baked beans with pork, drained ⓘ
- 1 (15.25 ounce) can kidney beans, drained ⓘ
- 1 (15.5 ounce) can great Northern beans, drained ⓘ
- 1/2 cup ketchup ⓘ
- 3/4 cup brown sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons white vinegar ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons molasses ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Heat a Dutch oven over medium heat. Use a large pot or saucepan if you do not have a Dutch oven. Add the beef, bacon and onion. Cook and stir until beef is evenly browned and crumbled. Drain off grease.
- Stir in the baked beans, kidney beans and Great Northern beans. Combine the ketchup, brown sugar, salt, mustard powder, vinegar and molasses; stir into the beans. If you are not using a Dutch oven, transfer to a casserole dish.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hours in the preheated oven.
