Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • few drops food coloring
  • 1 gallon popped popcorn

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils.
  3. Allow the syrup to boil for about 3-4 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and add butter and a few drops of food coloring, stirring until well combined.
  5. Pour the hot syrup over the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl.
  6. Stir gently to coat all the popcorn evenly.
  7. Spread the coated popcorn on a baking sheet to cool and harden before serving.
