Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup canned milk
  • 1/3 bottle rum extract
  • 1 quart pecan halves
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook together the sugar and canned milk until a drop hardens when dropped into cold water.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Pour in the rum extract; mix well.
  4. Add pecan halves; mix well to coat.
  5. Pour coated pecans into a large, covered container containing the powdered sugar.
  6. Shake well until all pecans are coated with sugar.
  7. Store in an airtight container.
