Sundae Chocolate Cups

Delightful chocolate cups perfect for holding ice cream, topped with chocolate syrup and fresh fruit. A fun, indulgent treat suitable for parties and dessert lovers.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. semi-sweet morsels
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 9 foil cupcake liners
  • ice cream, softened
  • chocolate syrup
  • fresh fruit

Instructions

  1. Combine the semi-sweet morsels and shortening in a heatproof bowl over hot (not boiling) water.
  2. Stir until the morsels are melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Use a spoon or brush to coat the inside of each foil cupcake liner with the chocolate mixture.
  4. Hold each liner in your hand and rotate gently, using a rubber spatula to spread the chocolate up the sides.
  5. Place the coated liners in muffin pans.
  6. Chill until the chocolate shells are firm.
  7. Once firm, peel off the foil liners and return the shells to the muffin pan.
  8. Chill until ready to serve.
  9. Remove the shells from the muffin pan and place them on a serving plate.
  10. Fill each shell with a scoop of softened ice cream.
  11. Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
  12. Garnish with fresh fruit.
