Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon
  • 8 oz. can mushrooms
  • 8 oz. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 (16 oz.) cans French-style green beans

Instructions

  1. Drain the green beans and mushrooms.
  2. Set aside the drained beans and mushrooms.
  3. Fry the bacon until crisp.
  4. Remove bacon and set aside.
  5. Pour out the bacon grease.
  6. Saute the diced onion and mushrooms in the bacon fat.
  7. Add crumbled bacon and green beans to the sauteed mixture.
  8. Mix well, then turn heat to low, cover, and heat for 15 minutes.
  9. Slice Velveeta cheese and place strips on top of the beans.
  10. Cover until the cheese melts.
  11. Stir the melted Velveeta into the beans and serve.
