Super Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 2 cups corn
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon and pour off all but 2 tablespoons of drippings.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until lightly brown.
  4. Add diced potatoes, corn, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and a dash of pepper.
  5. Heat to boiling, then reduce heat and simmer for a minute or two.
  6. Serve topped with crumbled bacon and butter.
