Ingredients

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup warm tap water
  • 3 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve oleo in boiling water with sugar and salt. Set aside and cool to lukewarm.
  2. Put yeast in 1/2 cup warm water and let it activate.
  3. Add the cooled liquids and egg to the flour mixture.
  4. Mix well and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 balls.
  6. Roll out each ball into a shape like a pie crust.
  7. Cut each rolled-out dough into 8 wedges.
  8. Roll each wedge from the big side toward the small point.
  9. Let the formed rolls rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until golden brown.
