Ingredients

  • 20 Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Crumble the Ritz crackers into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar to the egg whites and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans, crushed crackers, vanilla, and salt into the egg whites mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a pie dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  6. Allow the dessert to cool completely.
  7. Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream on top of the cooled dessert.
  9. Grate a chocolate bar over the whipped cream as a garnish.
  10. Chill the dessert before serving.
