Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 lb. pot roast
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • chopped carrots

Instructions

  1. Line a baking dish with ample aluminum foil.
  2. Place the pot roast in the center of the dish.
  3. If desired, surround the meat with chopped carrots or other vegetables.
  4. Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the meat.
  5. Tightly wrap the foil around the meat and vegetables.
  6. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 3 to 4 hours, until the meat is tender.
