Sweet and crispy walnuts offer a delightful combination of crunchy sugar coating and rich nut flavor, perfect for snacking or garnishing desserts, appealing to those with a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. raw shelled walnuts
  • 3 c. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat the wok.
  2. Add oil and deep fry the walnuts for about 1 minute. Remove and drain.
  3. Remove the oil from the wok and clean it.
  4. Reheat the wok.
  5. Place the walnuts and 1 tablespoon water in the wok. Stir lightly to moisten the walnuts.
  6. Add the powdered sugar and stir to coat the nuts lightly.
  7. Remove the walnuts and place them on a plate to cool. When cool, the sugar will become white and crispy.
