Ingredients

  • 2 or 3 medium sweet potatoes, sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • nutmeg
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cover sweet potato slices with water and cook until almost tender.
  2. Pour the cooked sweet potatoes into a baking pan.
  3. Add sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, and butter to the sweet potatoes.
  4. Place a pie crust or similar pastry on top of the sweet potato mixture.
  5. Sprinkle sugar over the crust.
  6. Dot the top with butter.
  7. Bake at 350°F until golden and done.
