Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. frozen Ore-Ida hash brown potatoes
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 to 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 stick butter
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and pour it into a casserole dish.
  2. Add the frozen hash brown potatoes over the melted butter, then sprinkle chopped onions on top.
  3. In a bowl, mix sour cream, shredded cheese, and cream of celery soup until well combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture over the potatoes in the casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle crushed cereal or cracker crumbs over the top.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
