Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg yolk. Add melted butter, salt, and 1/4 cup milk.
  2. Add flour and stir until smooth, then add the remaining 1/4 cup milk.
  3. Beat the egg white until stiff peaks form.
  4. Add sugar to the egg whites and beat until stiff. Fold into the flour mixture.
  5. Dip cut vegetables into the batter.
  6. Deep fry until golden brown.
  7. Use vegetables like zucchini, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, or other favorites.
  8. Even apple slices can be prepared this way.
  9. This recipe yields about 2 pounds of vegetables.
