- Brown meat on all sides in a small amount of oil. Add broth, sherry, soy sauce, garlic and onion powder.
- Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 30 to 45 minutes.
- Blend cornstarch and water and gradually add to skillet.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until gravy thickens. Cook 1 minute more. Serve over rice, noodles or toast.
