Ingredients

  • 1 large brisket
  • 1 jar Heinz cocktail sauce
  • 1 can Classic Coke

Instructions

  1. Remove excess fat from the brisket, then score across the meat at a diagonal with a sharp knife.
  2. Place the brisket in a roaster.
  3. Mix together cocktail sauce, dry soup mix, and Coke.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the brisket.
  5. Cover and bake for 3 to 4 hours at 300° to 325° Fahrenheit until fork-tender.
  6. Remove the brisket from the juices and let it cool.
  7. Wrap the brisket in foil and refrigerate.
  8. Put the juices into a container and refrigerate.
  9. The next day, slice the beef. Remove fat from the top of the juices and pour over the slices.
  10. Reheat the slices in the microwave before serving.
