Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 quart milk
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Combine rice, milk, and salt in a pot and bring to a boil until rice is tender.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine sugar and slightly beaten eggs, then add to the hot rice mixture slowly, stirring constantly.
  3. Mix evaporated milk and vanilla, then add to the mixture.
  4. Cover and cook over medium heat until thick, stirring frequently.
