Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 c. (equal 2 packets) your choice of Quaker instant oatmeal (peaches and cream, apples and cinnamon or strawberry and cream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Melt 1/4 cup margarine in a bowl, then add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1 tsp vanilla.
  3. Stir in 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, and a dash of salt.
  4. Pour in 1/4 cup milk and 1 cup instant oatmeal of your choice.
  5. Mix well until batter is smooth.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the edges are light brown and the centers firm.
  8. Cool on the sheet before serving.
