Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. thinly sliced turkey breast
  • 1/4 lb. thinly sliced salami or boiled ham
  • 1/4 lb. thinly sliced cheese
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 jar artichoke hearts (reserve liquid)
  • 1 purple onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 large tomatoes, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Cut the loaf of bread in half horizontally and hollow out the soft bread from both halves, leaving a shell 3/4-inch thick.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the artichoke liquid with mayonnaise and spread over both halves of the bread.
  3. Layer the ingredients in the bottom half of the bread shell, starting and ending with tomatoes, and including some in the middle to ensure even distribution.
  4. Place the top half of the bread over the mound of ingredients.
  5. Wrap the entire loaf well with plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving, up to 8 hours.
