Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 quart berries

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and cornstarch together with cold water in a saucepan.
  2. Add boiling water, lemon juice, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  4. Pour the hot thickened mixture over the berries and serve.
