Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 6 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream the powdered sugar and margarine together.
  2. Add the sifted flour and vanilla; beat well to form a dough.
  3. Shape the dough into balls about the size of a marble.
  4. Place the dough balls on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  5. Make a hole in the center of each ball with your thumb.
  6. Fill the hole with preserves or jelly.
  7. Pull the dough up around the filling to seal it.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven promptly and cool on a wire rack.
