Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and egg yolk; add flour and salt.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls and dip in slightly beaten egg white, then roll in finely chopped pecans.
  3. Use your thumb to press a hole in the center of each ball.
  4. Melt chocolate chips and place a teaspoon of melted chocolate into the hole in each cookie.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes.
