Ingredients

  • 2 small cans tomato paste
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook chopped onion and green pepper in oil for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add tomato paste and four cans of water; stir well.
  3. Add whole tomatoes and break them up in the saucepan, then add all herbs, stir well, cover and simmer for about 2 hours.
  4. Taste for flavor; if not enough, add more herbs.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
