- Remove skins from tomatoes and quarter them.
- Place tomatoes in a buttered casserole dish.
- Melt butter in a pan.
- Add crushed garlic and basil leaves to the melted butter.

- Saute bread cubes over low heat for a few minutes until lightly toasted.
