Traditional Ceviche

Ingredients

  • fish pound Very fresh, white-fleshed ocean
  • cod such as
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • serrano peppers tablespoon Minced
  • tomato cup Chopped
  • avocado cup Small-diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 corn tortillas cut thick strips

Instructions

  1. Cut the fish into 1/2-inch dice.
  2. Place in a glass dish with the lime juice.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Drain the fish and add the peppers, tomato, avocado, onion, cilantro, olive oil, and salt.
  5. Fold gently to mix.
  6. Serve with some fried tortilla strips, thick cut, garnish with lime wedges.
