Delightful chocolate truffle mice perfect for festive treats or parties, featuring rich chocolate, crunchy almonds, and decorative licorice tails, appealing to both kids and adults.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/3 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. finely crushed chocolate wafers
  • 1/3 c. confectioners sugar
  • gold or silver shot candies
  • sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler, stirring constantly; remove from heat.
  2. Blend in sour cream until smooth.
  3. Add crushed chocolate wafers; mix well. Chill for 1 hour or until firm.
  4. Roll teaspoonfuls of the mixture in confectioners sugar.
  5. Shape each into an oval for the body of a mouse.
  6. Place 2 gold or silver shot candies for eyes on each mouse.
  7. Insert 2 almond slices for ears.
  8. Attach a length of black licorice whip for the tail.
