Tuna Timbales

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 1/2 or 7 oz.) can tuna
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 beaten egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 stiff beaten egg whites
  • 1 c. white sauce

Instructions

  1. Lightly brown tuna
  2. and
  3. onion in
  4. salad oil. Add egg yolks, bread, lemon
  5. juice
  6. and seasoning.
  7. Fold in egg whites and turn into greased
  8. custard cups.
  9. Bake in pan of hot water at 350° until firm.
  10. Unmold and serve with white sauce.
