- Combine cake mix, cooking oil, and water in a bowl.
- Stir until moistened.
- Add eggs and stir until blended.
- Spread cherry pie filling on the bottom of a Tupperware 3-quart casserole with a cone inserted.
- Pour the prepared cake batter into the casserole over the pie filling.
- Microwave on 100% power for 14 minutes or until the cake begins to shrink away from the sides.
- Let stand for 20 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
- Enjoy your cherry topped chocolate cake.
- This recipe can also be made with apple or carrot pie fillings and spice cake mix, or with German chocolate cake mix and coconut pecan frosting for a self-frosted cake.
