Ingredients

  • 35 saltine crackers
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (reducing to 325°F if desired).
  2. Line a cookie sheet with foil.
  3. Arrange 35 saltine crackers in 7 rows across and 5 rows down on the prepared sheet.
  4. Melt 2 sticks of butter and 1 cup of brown sugar in the microwave for 4 minutes, then stir briefly.
  5. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture evenly over the crackers, noting it may not pour smoothly.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes until the toffee is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool before breaking into pieces.
