Ingredients

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup Crisco

Instructions

  1. Bake the white cake mix in 4 thin layers and let them cool.
  2. Bring flour and milk to a boil, then cool in the refrigerator.
  3. Cream together margarine and Crisco until fluffy.
  4. Gradually add sugar to the creamed mixture.
  5. Add the flour and milk mixture to the creamed mixture.
  6. Add vanilla and beat until fluffy, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. Spread the frosting between the layers and on top of the cake.
