Upside-Down Beef Pie

Instructions
- Brown onion and beef in iron skillet.
- Cook until crumbly but not hard.
- Drain grease well.
- Add seasonings and soup and simmer until thickened.
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add milk and mix well.
- Pour batter over hot mixture in skillet.
- Put skillet into oven and bake at 450° for 15 minutes or until top is golden brown.
- Cover with warm serving plate. Invert and remove skillet.
