Ingredients

  • 2 C. half-and-half
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 3/4 C. light brown corn syrup
  • 1/2 C. butter

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, 1 cup of half-and-half, syrup, and butter in a saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat for 7 to 8 minutes until mixture comes to a full boil.
  3. Add remaining half-and-half and cook at a slow boil until mixture reaches 245 degrees on a candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour into a greased 8 or 9 inch square pan and let cool.
  6. Cut into pieces and serve.
